Alternatif Bank has been recognized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for its contributions to financing Türkiye's foreign trade and its high transaction volume.

Alternatif Bank continues to crown its successful performance in financing foreign trade and the value it creates for its customers with awards. The bank was awarded the 'Best Partner Bank' in SME transactions by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) at the Trade Partners Meeting, and received the 'Most Active User in Türkiye' award for the seventh consecutive year, as well as the 'Green Transaction of the Year' award for the second time, under the Trade Facilitation Program conducted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Joining the IFC’s Trade Finance Guarantee Program in 2011 and being one of the oldest members of the program in Türkiye, Alternatif Bank is among the banks that achieve high transaction volumes within the program. At the award ceremony held as part of the Trade Partners Meeting, which took place from May 7-9, 2024, in Barcelona and celebrated the 20th anniversary of the IFC's Trade Finance Program, Alternatif Bank was awarded the 'Best Partner Bank' for SME transactions conducted with IFC. The award was received on behalf of the bank by Ahmet Kınalısoy, Head of Financial Institutions, and Seyhan Katı Akgün, Supervisor.

Additionally, Alternatif Bank was awarded the 'Most Active User in Türkiye' for the seventh time this year for its successful performance in financing foreign trade under the Foreign Trade Program conducted by the EBRD. The bank also received the 'Green Transaction of the Year' award for the second time for facilitating the trade of green technologies and products in countries where the EBRD operates. The awards were received on behalf of Alternatif Bank by Ahmet Kınalısoy, Head of Financial Institutions, at the Trade Facilitation Program award ceremony held as part of the EBRD’s 33rd Annual Meeting and Business Forum in Yerevan, Armenia, on May 14, 2024.

Being awarded the 'Most Active User in Türkiye' for seven consecutive years is particularly valuable as it highlights our bank’s leadership and innovative approach in foreign trade. Receiving the 'Green Transaction of the Year' award for the second time also carries great significance as it acknowledges our activities in this area and the continuous development of our sustainability efforts by international institutions.
