Alternatif Bank continues to expand its Accessible Banking activities with new projects to create a rights-based and accessible banking experience for everyone. The Bank recently launched the podcast series titled “The Only Alternative Is To Eliminate Obstacles” in order to make its knowledge, obtained as a result of its ‘Accessible Banking’ activities, permanent and make it available to everyone. 

The podcast series launched by Alternatif Bank in cooperation with Bubble Works addresses many issues such as difficulties experienced by people with disabilities in terms of access and inclusion, suggested solutions, and rights-based approach with experts from the academy, business world, and non-governmental organizations. The Bank aims to raise social awareness on inclusion and accessibility by enriching the series further with different guests and contents in the future. “The Only Alternative Is To Eliminate Obstacles” podcast series is available on online podcast platforms, while accessible video versions of episodes with sign language are available on Alternatif Bank’s YouTube channel.

Alternatif Bank Brand, Communication, and Sustainability Director Levent Ulusoy, sharing his opinions about “The Only Alternative Is To Eliminate Obstacles” podcast series that they launched, stated “As Alternatif Bank, we address our ‘Accessible Banking’ activities with an approach based on financial inclusion and continuous improvement and position them as a fundamental part of our corporate culture. Our aim is to enable everyone to use our services equally and conveniently, and we continue to work toward eliminating obstacles to accessibility and raising awareness of our society. With this approach, we launched many projects that progressed simultaneously from activities aimed at increasing accessibility for different disability groups on our physical and digital channels to videos and trainings increasing competence and raising awareness of internal and external stakeholders of the Bank, from ideathons where we collaborated with the youth to the Accessible Banking Terms Glossary, which is a first in Turkey, in a period spanning more than 4 years. Now, we essentially incorporated issues regarding access and inclusion, false facts, what can be done in theory and in practice, and suggested solutions, which we encountered in all of these activities that we have conducted so far, into a podcast series where we addressed these with our stakeholders. We are glad to make our knowledge, which we obtained thanks to our activities in the field of Accessible Banking, permanent and make it available to everyone and to support the development of “inclusion awareness”.
