Alternatif Bank, having focused on Accessible Banking with the intention of offering right-based and accessible banking experience for everyone, took action for employment of individuals that received certificates from the Banking Vocational Training Program conducted by the Banks Association of Turkey for people with disabilities During the program, carried out between February 25 and March 9, participants not only gained professional information and experience about the banking sector, but also had the opportunity to build a career in Alternatif Bank. 

In the program open to the public across the country, the participants received trainings on basic and advanced office software, reporting, and personal development. Those who completed the training program received their certificates and graduated in the graduation ceremony held in March. Graduated participants had the opportunity to have interviews with human resources of banks, particularly Alternatif Bank. As a result of interviews made with individuals, who qualified for receiving certificates at the end of the training, Alternatif Bank provided such individuals with opportunities for employment in departments where they could experience banking operations closely.

Alternatif Bank CEO Kaan Gür, who made remarks regarding the matter, stated “As Alternatif Bank, our Accessible Banking approach is based on ensuring that all of our services are accessible easily by everyone in line with the principle of equality. As we take firm steps in this path, one of our priorities is to generalize employment of people with disabilities in our bank. Currently, we employ people with disabilities spread across different managerial and non-managerial roles, exceeding the quota stipulated by the legislation. To take this further, our human resources team made interviews with participants that completed the Banking Vocational Training Program conducted by the Banks Association of Turkey and qualified for receiving certificates. Those who successfully completed interviews started to work in units where they were needed. We will continue our activities aimed at increasing employment of people with disabilities with our people-oriented corporate culture.  We expect that this number will increase further following the Banking Vocational Training Program. We will continue to make new strides with the vision of pioneering a shift of mentality in our sector”.
