Alternatif Bank explained its hybrid work model, AlterFlex, in the leadership summit held in Cappadocia
Alternatif Bank Human Resources Executive Vice President Bike Tarakcı participated as a speaker in the HR and Marketing Leaders Meeting that brought together the leading C-Level executives in Türkiye. Bike Tarakcı mentioned that the new work order was a cultural transformation and shared the reflections of such transformation in the Bank and the Bank’s people-oriented approach.
Alternatif Bank attended the Leaders Camp HR and Marketing Leaders Meeting, which was held in Cappadocia from May 29 to May 31, 2025, bringing together the prominent leaders of human resources and marketing world. Alternatif Bank Human Resources EVP Bike Tarakcı participated as a speaker in the panel discussion titled “New Work Order”, organized under this special meeting hosted by Fast Company Türkiye. Tarakcı, sharing the Bank’s vision and practices in this field, emphasized that AlterFlex, the new generation work model that had been implemented since the pandemic, contributed to both personnel experience and corporate culture.
Tarakcı stated that the new work order was not only a requirement, also a great transformation opportunity, and continued: “We did not consider this process just as a temporary period originating from the crisis. On the contrary, we regarded it as an important opportunity to redesign work life. With this approach, we developed a people-oriented model: AlterFlex. Thanks to this system, which covers both remote work and flexible office hours, we offer our personnel with the freedom to work in the most efficient manner according to their personal needs.”
Tarakcı, emphasizing that the new order transformed not only business conduct manners, but also corporate culture, drew attention to the importance of a structure based on trust and stated “We believe that our personnel will ideally manage their time and responsibilities and we make room for flexibility based on our trust in them. This approach enhances both commitment and creativity.”
Everywhere becomes an office in the summer with “Alternatif Yaz”
Practices of the Bank that enhance personnel experience were also mentioned in the event. Tarakcı indicated that they provide their personnel with the flexibility of working anywhere for four weeks in the summer thanks to the practice called “Alternatif Yaz”, and stated “Whether in a coastal town, or at home, or with their family… Our employees are able to work wherever they feel content and productive. This practice reflects positively on not only performance, but also welfare and motivation of our personnel”.
Tarakcı pointed out to their belief that there will not be a single correct model in the work order of the future, and concluded her speech as follows: “Models will be developed to accommodate the culture and the business conduct model manner of every institution. However, flexibility is not an option anymore; it is a fundamental expectation for employees. We address this expectation as a permanent value. We will continue to shape the future together with our personnel, by hearing them out.”
