Esin Aydınol, an experienced executive in the Turkish banking sector, has been appointed to Alternatif Bank Board.  

A change has taken place within the Board of Directors of Alternatif Bank, which continues its operations in Türkiye with strong commitment to corporate governance principles and a robust management team. In a statement released by the Bank, it was announced that, in line with international corporate governance practices regarding the tenure of independent board members, Zafer Kurtul, who served as Chair of the Credit Committee, and Halil Ergür, who served as Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee, have stepped down from their roles. The Bank further stated that, following the completion of the legal formalities, Esin Aydınol will be appointed to the Board of Directors and assume the role of Chair of the Credit Committee.

Omar Hussain Alfardan, Alternatif Bank Board Chairman, made the following statement regarding the change:

“Mr Zafer Kurtul and Mr Halil Ergür, who have held senior positions in prominent institutions within the Turkish banking sector for many years, made significant contributions to our strategic direction and the advancement of our corporate governance practices by sharing their experience and knowledge with our teams throughout their terms. Esin Aydınol to be appointed as a Board Member

Following this change and upon completion of the legal formalities, Esin Aydınol will be appointed as a Board Member and assume the role of Chair of the Credit Committee. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Aydınol has held senior roles in the banking sector, most recently serving as Country Chief Risk Officer at Citibank Türkiye in 2024.
